HALLYU CON LONDON 2022

Hallyucon London 2022 was a hybrid event held in-person and online. It was about celebrating Korean culture and showcasing both traditional and contemporary Korean music and arts. The event took a place at the Samsung KX store and was streamed on the YouTube channels of KCCUK and Hallyu Con.

The concept keywords for Hallyu Con 2022 was 'blending traditional & modern'. During early ideation, the team came up with visual concept ideas included various Korean cultural motifs such as binyeo, tiger/dragon symbols, the five-peak mountain (Irworobongdo), and songpyeon (traditional rice cake).
These idea helped me shape the tone and overall visual direction before refining the final concept. Eventually, I developed the five-peak mountain and dancheong(a traditional Korean decoration) motif into the final design concept.
